Amatsu & Physical Therapies

Amatsu - In a Treatment

Amatsu is a form of physical therapy including therapeutic massage, stretching, muscle testing and mobilisation. It is based on ancient Japanese principle of natural movement. In a treatment the main focus will be on the feet, hips, pelvis, spine, neck and head to bring balance to the body. Most of the treatment is done fully clothed so comfortable lose fitting clothing is advised.

Amatsu & Orthopedic Massage

for Sports Injuries

Sports injuries are common, particularly in contact sport. Afterall bruising and strains are part of the game.

Amatsu can help injuries occurred in sport heel faster and reduce reinjuring by making sure all elements of the musculoskeletal system are working in unison.

Amatsu will look at the body as a whole, trying to identify the cause, as well as dealing with the symptom. For example in reoccurring hamstring injuries there may be an imbalance in the pelvis. Working on the hamstrings may reduce tension in the short term but will not deal with the issue and injury.

Orthopedic Massage -

Pain free treatment

Orthopedic Massage helps to restore range of motion of joints and strengthen   muscles by restoring muscle health and releasing restriction in joints. This is a pain free treatment approach to relieving pain and bring balance and health back to the body.

T-shirt and shorts are recommended.

Amatsu for Back Pain

Research shows that 80% of us will experience back pain in our lives. Most will reduce or settle within a few weeks, but 85% will experience recurring pain throughout their lives.

Back pain may occur suddenly after a simple movement, as bending or stretching. For back pain to occur during these movements, there would most likely to be other imbalances or strains within the body. This is a whole body treatment.

Visceral Manipulation
and it's benefits for your body!

Visceral Manipulation is a bodywork technique that is a gentle and light therapy. Developed by world-renowned French Osteopath and Physical Therapist Jean-Pierre Barral, the work focuses on the ligaments of the organs in the body and their ability to move freely. VM helps to release fascial restrictions in the abdomen to encourage normal movement and function of the internal organs. VM benefits functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, and respiratory. Therefore VM encourages your body's own natural abilities to improve the organ' functioning, reduce the negative effects of stress, and improve movement of the muscles and bones through the connective tissue or fascia.
