Why Choose Amatsu Therapy?

Amatsu Therapy seeks to address many musculo-skeletal and lifestyle-related conditions, as well as supporting the restoration of general health and well being.

Amatsu is based on the theory of biotensegrity, and it applies its principles to its treatment. When trauma occurs caused by structural, chemical, emotional, electrical or environmental injury, the biotensegrity structure (the body) goes into a distorted shape, forming a torsion pattern and becomes linear. A stress / torsion / linear pattern, whether from an external or an internal source, changes the whole internal body shape, and those changes made to the body affect the whole structure.

The Amatsu practitioner uses palpation or challenging to find the linear pattern, and finds the most ideal place to make a change which assists the tissue to return

the structure to being whole, healthy and non-linear again.

(Tensegrity is based on the principle of  a continuous set of compression elements, that is opposed and balanced by a continuous tensile force,

thereby creating an internal prestress that stabilizes the entire structure.... bio refers to the body).
